“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8
Think About This
Have you ever stopped to think about how your family or your closest coworker’s see you?
Do they view you as successful, driven, hardworking, obsessed, intellectual, self-made or maybe even emotional? Not that some of these traits are bad, but if these are all that those closest to us have to say about us, perhaps we have missed the mark.
How to Walk Humbly
The verse above really resonated with me as of late. While there are several points that could be studied, I particularly leaned into the mention of walking humbly with your God.
What does this look like? We must all realize that we haven’t actually earned anything; all we have is because God gave it to us.
Our job, our physical abilities, our family, our network – these were all given to us by God. He has woven our lives in a way that should bring us closer to him and in turn facilitate us bringing others to him.
If we are walking each day with humility and remember that we can do nothing on our own; instead we must give thanks for what we have and do the best we can with the blessings that we receive.
A Humble Example
A biblical man will be a humble example in every aspect of his life. A biblical man will share with others the blessings and salvation that God has given him.
May we all walk humbly each day and be a reflection of a biblical man in 2025!
